Hayao Miyazaki is the king of best anime films hands down. Plenty of good series that aren't related to him but for movies I recommend ALL HIS FILMS! Spirited away totoro and princess mononoke are all amazing!

Grave of fireflies is a good movie, yes. However it will leave you depressed. Still worth watching as it shows realities of war and is a good reminder of how lucky we are to be born when and were we are.

To me is 5 that is hard to argue is the top 5.

I have a bone to pick with Violet evergarden. It’s the fact that it’s a follow up of a series, same with the Gintama Be forever Yorizuya or the Eva movies.
Even though it’s already great by itself, you will get the best experience if you have already seen the series.

I think Your name is boring and
I enjoyed Weathering with you much more than Your name but even though I enjoyed it more, I still think Your name was written much better.
In my personal list Weathering with you is top 3.
There is no denying that Spirited away is overhyped unnecessarily but it still is top 3.
Grave of the fireflies is just a brutal movie, it just does not care about your emotions whatsoever.
A silent voice on the other hand was brutal but it ended on a good note. It makes it more enjoyable but less good than grave of the fireflies.

Look End Of Eva is one of my favorite movies ever, but I really wouldn’t put it on a definitive best 10 anime movies list. The world isn’t ready for EOE
