I have a big wrap-around garden with all of those things, vegetables, raspberries and blackberries, a pear tree, a couple young apple trees, blackberries. And a swing on the front porch, bbq and seating in the back garden. I built it all myself and this show makes me appreciate it even more.

Can't say I've seen this one before - from '08 & 2011 - Mel was absolutely lovely, never have guessed she was a lawyer. What they ended up with was amazing - well, what she made, was amazing & by moving across the way to Hereford, course you get more bang for your buck, but still have wonderful, quiet, rural property -- sometimes it really does take an awful lot of viewings to find that special nest. Thanks for sharing, always get a laugh with Kirstie & Phil!

Very happy for Mel and Jon! They were wise to wait...even for the arrival of their own child! On the contrary i was unfazed by Liz and John's final house. They were quite picky and the house they bought is...meh for me.

The thing I love about LLL compared to, say "Escape to the Country" is, with LLL, there's a perfect mix of Kirstie and Phil finding and securing, and them not finding but the hunter's learning something. With "EttC", I swear I have not seen people choose a house - it's a glorified looky-loo. After awhile for me it gets really dull seeing people wanting a house, looking at great houses that fit briefs and the show ending with nothing, like too many defective party poppers in a row. Maybe "Escape" is meant to be a different show and I miss the point; maybe I haven't seen the episodes (if there are any) where a house is chosen, but I prefer LLL for the joy of actual completion.
