Hi guys, I've got the 8.3 5g and according to Qualcomms website the phone has the aptx adaptive bluetooth codec. However when i go into the developer settings i can only access aptx all others are greyed out, the earbuds i use are the B&O Beoplay EQ which are aptx adaptive compatible. Has anyone else come across this problem?

I've owned the 8.3 since February 2021 paid 379 dollars in the US (i live in NYC) and i agree with what you said, my only other negative is the macro camera is terrible I wish HMD left it out and used the ultra wide for macro like other OEMs

Absolutely love mine. Great build, gorgeous colour, huge clear screen. Bit heavy at 1st but soon got used to it. Totally agree it is a fantastic design. The camera is brilliant. Photos are clear, crisp, and good colour. Amazing display. Great to use and even better as got it on offer for £280! Love it!

Agreed, I'm using Nokia 5.4. and there's no a single scratch since I bought it. The body is feel not very well built compare to others Nokia, but when it's fell from my hand, I start to understand that the body dampen the vibrations caused by the impact, so it's like captain America shield. The battery is awesome, The displays not bad, performance is not bad for SD 662, the stability of the software is great, the camera is good for the price. I start to understand what's Nokia doing. 👍

Another point: This device was not released world wide especially in india.
It seems they are failing in india, since there is no midrange device from ~2.5years.
Last device I found was nokia 7.2 and it's display was just awesome...

Hey man, good overall points. I just picked mine up a few weeks ago. Loving it so far. I would argue that most of the cons you mentioned do not really matter to me all that much though. That said, the fact the phone has zero water resistance does matter a LOT to me. It is the biggest limitation of the device imo. I have to baby it in the rain.

I have owned a Nokia 8.3 since last January when I picked it up on sale..
I absolutely love it!!.
The design build quality camera are the highlights.
I dont get 5g where I live so I have only used it on 5g a couple of times when I have been somewhere with 5g signal and it ran much quicker!, so I am looking forward to more constant use when 5g becomes more available in the northwest of England!.
I have owned a lot of Nokia phones over the years, in fact every phone except for one Microsoft phone has been Nokia since mobiles became available.
I loved the Lumia 920 and 1020 but think the 8.3 feels like the best Nokia I have owned..
Thanks for your review and I agree with you when you say this phone could be a iconic model.
Thanks Matt.

Definitely a very underrated phone, I used mine for a few months before I got the x20 and then I gave it to a very good friend who's loving it! Timing was unfortunate and poor, and the Android 10 at launch definitely was a miss, I agree that the biggest processor is definitely a gimmick as some of these have lots of problems as well! All in all a great phone and hopefully Nokia learn and release another 8 series 👍

100% Spot On Abdullah, I believe that the reviewers went on specs on a page, just to tick off what the big 3 phone OEM push out, Nokia definitely underrated!! Yes HMD needs to step up their game but you gotta love the build and Nokia Quality!!! Quality Video!!! Quality Production!! Cmon HMD Global, let's get Abdullah on your team!!!#Nokia #HMD

I have been wanting to change my 5 year old Samsung galaxy note 8 to a phone that is friendly to the pocket but at the same time an epitome of quality. Now we all don't need no debate on Nokia's quality which has been written down in history anyway. After watching several videos i felt your reviews are so subtle with the details i was looking out for and so convincing to buy this phone in 2021. Thanks Abdulla for this great video.

Great update video for the 8.3. I still use mine as a daily driver. Cameras are great as I used them for my business.

I have shown the 8.3 to friends and they were impressed with the looks and build quality. Those friends still buy other brands. Here in the USA, most people get phones through phone carriers for free through "Bill credits". Those carriers are pushing iPhones and Samsung. No 8.3's in store on display. I am not sure if Verizon had their version of the 8.3 on the shelves. Waiting for Android 12 on the awesome 8.3!

Nice photo of the Camero at 2:14 minute mark....🚗

Great points. Let's hope HMD can follow through. They certainly stumbled when it came to releasing a follow-up to the Nokia 9.

There's just one thing that prevents me from getting this phone: No OIS. It's predecessor, the 8.1, has it. When you have H-Log video format compatibility, you do want OIS for better exposure and shutter speed control.

Thanks for giving the Nokia 8.3 5G another look even all these months later! It is probably one of the most underrated devices of the past few years. It is not perfect but it is solid all around. Besides even now, in terms of specs and even hardware it still holds out quite well against many newer models. Over the last few years any advances in features, specs, hardware and software have been minimal. While I like all the Nokia devices, the XR-20 is probably the only other device I'd have chosen as an upgrade. And I'm coming from the Nokia 7.1 which is probably my favourite smartphone of the past decade...it was almost perfection...LOL. But the 8.3 5G is just as elegant! What Nokia Mobile could do to rectify the mistakes they've made with this device, they could add Android 13 as an update. The device has more than enough capacity to handle a third OS update beyond Android 12. 👍👍

Great review! I've been using the 8.3 for a year
Love it. Although I'm a power user it's been able to keep up I do think I need a powerful porcessor as felt small hiccups here and there and miss OLED blacks. Best phone for value

I've got the 8.3 5g and I totally agree with you. I've never used a non Nokia phone since my 3310 in 2001 and the 8.3 5g for me attempts to replace Nokia's lost glory. The advertising definitely should have been more. I've read your reviews on the newer models but the 8.3 5g is my favourite! Thank you for this vid!

I think the design is great Abdullah! One of the nicest Nokia android phones I’ve seen in a while.

Still rocking my 8.3, it's been great for the past two years! So much so that I'm actually disappointed with the XR21, which doesn't seem to have enough improvements in performance over the 8.3 to justify the expense of buying a new phone; it's 8.3 til' it dies, baby!

I like my Nokia 8.3 and I'll be keeping it for a long time. It's practical and useful for everyday tasks, such as selling on eBay and recording the condition of a property for letting. Even the close-up lens, which I think you didn't like in the first review, is useful for recording the text from product literature. I hope to be able to use my Nokia 8.3 in conjunction with "The Alice Camera" (under development), so I don't need any better smartphone camera than this.

Firstly I must say that this is the one of the best video on your chanel indeed. You almost saying all the things in my minds as well about Nokia 8.3. And the criticisms on this matter you explain nice but softly ( maybe you noticed me that I usualy do this very aggressive and in rage).
To me Nokia 8.3 is the best phone that released by HMD since 2017. İt is still the best of Nokia altough it has been 2 years it relased. But unfortunetly after Nokia X71 and Nokia 8 Sİrocco this is the most underrated model. İt definetly deserve more than this. Lastly I should say that it is not only related to pandemic at the same time this is ineptitute of HMD heads and its marketing team. I always say that Nokia Mobile must be live under a bigger capital with a skilled team.. not with HMD
