It's not just about unsubbing when you don't find the reviewer honest. You also have to realize that those "honest" praises often driven by free bottles skyrocket the prices on the market. And who is going to feel that? Of course all perfume consumers.

I think Marc’s overall issue is that these channels are influencing younger people who aren’t as aware of the tactics of influence. Most of us know it’s just entertainment and commercials but we are ok with that because we want newness. They SHOULD be more transparent and at least put the “paid promotion” tag in there videos. That’s respectable.

I've had to remove myself from the community for the most part. Its become too much of a sh*t show for my taste. I agree with some of the things he's said and I'm friends with some of the people he called out. The majority of the influencers I am no longer friends with because I have gotten exhausted of the fake friendships. Looking snazzy with the pink.

You missed big point, about how they hyped fragrances giving grade 10/10, but on blind sniff they don't even recognize same fragrance and giving average grade of 7!!!

That dude Neeb immediately made a defensive video exclaiming his innocence. But when I brought up an example in a friendly non-confrontational way he simply hid my comment. So I'm that video it's just a bunch of people singing his praises on the comments. Pathetic

if they take the money and lie about a fragrance and dont give full disclosure that its a paid advertisement then they are fair game for whatever comes their way. no whining .

His video said what I wished I had known three years ago instead of learning it myself. I realized almost from the beginning that influences had to be a bit cautious so as not to completely demolish a fragrance, but I did not realize how insincere and untrustworthy most of them are. Yet, I still watch them because they are quite entertaining. I just don't trust them. Most of all, I appreciate that he called them out individually.

It's not about the fact they get sent free bottles or have affiliate codes, but that they act like sales(wo)men who all use the same marketing buzzwords, making it less of a personal experience and more about the money they will be receiving from said brands.

Houses that give free bottles but dont pressure good reviews show integrity. EG your house, AMouage etc... The issue is many houses deliberately pay for reviews, blacklist people for bad reviews. There is a difference.

If you've seen the way TLTG responds to his viewers on comments section or on Instagram, you'll know the guy has some grudge with the world. He's not honest. He's not funny. He's trying too hard. And he deserves all the criticism due to the way TLTG treats others

I believe his video exposed the dark side of the fragrance community, but I did not like the personal attacks on people either. He should have refrained from the personal attacks like how a person looks, and what they were wearing.

I agree with everything robe said, the funniest thing is when these influencers come up with a decent top 10 but the no.1 on the list is their last cash cow
