Note: Batteries need proper cooling (remember to put atleast 10 cm of air around them and some big holes to get proper passive cooling) and their voltage should not exceed 5 volts or the charging board voltage rating (if it auto-scales down volts), also, if you don't want to break something PLEASE don't put them in series

Hi, does the board your using turn off if the current draw from the device is too low? I'm looking to build something that powers a low current device, and most powerbanks switch off.
Also is there any balancing across the batteries, to maintain the lifespan?

You can either do it this way, or find a old or damaged powerbank, replace the batteries and reuse the casing, better looking and safer too, or the easiest way, just go and buy a new powerbank 🤣

No battery monitoring circuit attached to the battery mid-points? Wouldn't this thing be a dangerous fire hazard or damage the individual cells due to overcharging / over-draining?

first u should balance charge all the 18650 batteries, then use it...u have also used very thin wires it should not handle 2 amps.

Amazing. Such a simple thing but very needy esp for mobiles. Other things I understood. Just the charging board. I'll have to check from where I can get it. Companies say their power bank is 10 or 20000 mah but they lie most of the time. And here such a simple way one can get 15000mah power bank. Thanks alot..
