dear announcer - you don't "have to punt" after a safety. It is a free kick, meaning you can placekick, dropkick or punt. Interesting strategy to pop it up. But they could have placekicked, meaning no tee, but a holder holding the ball, or the ball just laying on the ground. My brother and dad both used to have a drop kick onside that was pretty lethal, but that's probably the toughest option.

American Football games move so slowly. Look how much time it took to finish off this last drive. Timeouts. "Injuries". Penalties. And a ton of on field committee meetings. How many commercial breaks did fans have to watch just to catch the ending of the game?
