They need to make a budget and live minimally. I would definitely understand this if they lived in California or NY. If that is the case, they need to move and live somewhere significantly cheaper. If I made $100K/yr, I'd be a king! This is a matter of poor money management.

Making 110k I was falling under this group until I got it together. I was spending about $40 eating out everyday plus buying a ton of crap that I didn't need. Like they said, plan and set a budget.

My son is in the six figure income but lives way below his means. I never made it to six figures but still managed to retire at age 58.

That's funny, I only make ~ $30k/yr. I get paid monthly and often don't deposit my paycheck until 2 weeks after I get paid.
