Jurassic World trailer review

The first trailer for the new Jurassic park sequel/reboot/whatever it is has hit the web! Jeremy gives you his thoughts on the trailer to "Jurassic World"...and genetic hybrid Dinosaurs!

Toy T-Rex closing the video instantly makes this one of the best videos ever.

I'm pretty excited. But I can understand some of the "I hope this goes well" feelings. Creating a hybrid T-Rex kind of thing immediately had me skeptical. But hey maybe it goes well. A way to create the hype of T-Rex without just giving another T-Rex. Plus I completely get it from an in-universe point of view. People are getting a bit bored, sales are down, got to spice it up....and they create their doom. It's classic.

As to the Raptors I did get a theory that these are basically Star Lord's...I mean Chris Pratt's hunting pack. Something I could actually get. Considering how intelligent Raptors have been made out to be, they should be trainable if it's done right. Plus maybe part of the genetic modification for dinosaurs on the park was to assist in this kind of thing.

I don't get why people get mad about the prospect of trained dinosaurs. It is theoretically possible, we train lions and tigers and bears, dinosaurs should technically be no different. If you establish a system of dominance, any dino should fall into place just like we do with our carnivores. Course, it really is all theoretical, but seeing as they are related to birds(whom we easily train) it seems quite likely.

Jurassic Park -Legendary, 10/10.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park -Great, 8/10.

Jurassic Park III -Good but could've been better, 6/10.

Jurassic World -Looking forward to seeing it on June 12.

Regardless of what you think of the Jurassic World trailer, just remember that a previous script was about the Government training Dinosaurs to carry battle weapons.

Good: The sea monster dino. I am such a geek for sea monsters in general, so that got me hyped.
Bad: Raptors not even giving a craps that they are running all around a meal on wheels.
Ugly: It might take me a bit to get used to "serious" Chris Pratt. I love the guy, but he's Star-Lord, man.

I heard years ago when this movie was in early pre-production the basic premise was going to be a hybrid dinasaur escapes and the regular dinasaurs and humans essentially team up to fight it. I think that's what's happening with Chris Pratt on the motorcycle with the raptors running beside him. If so, then that sounds completely awesome!

In that scene with the velociraptors I figured they were both running from something even more terrifying. Like maybe Starlord (hehe) gets cornered by raptors and then this huge hybrid comes along and both of them are like...RUUUN.

Then you see the pussyraptors running with him away from T-rexaptor

I feel like the first thing you have to do to enjoy the movie is compare it as little as possible with the first ones. Jurassic Park was huge back in the 90s, and as a kid, it almost felt like it was magic when I watched those movies.
I know I wont feel that way again when I see this one, maybe except for the nostalgic part of it, but Im taking my nephews to see it. I bet they will like it way more than I will.

I want to see a whole series based on Jeremy's T-Rex. He seems like he'd have an interesting backstory.

NO ONE seems to notice that milliseconds before the final shot with Pratt leading his squad of velociraptors, there is a brief moment where they show the raptors getting freed from their pens. And if you look closely, they have tiny collars on. So, yeah, these are domesticated velociraptors that are likely part of Pratt's bad-ass hybrid dinosaur hunting squad.

From what I heard, the new dinosaur is named Diablosaurus Rex. It is generic mix of a T-rex, velociraptor, snake and a cuddle fish. Can't wait to see what it looks like, I just hope they don't tease us so much and we won't see her until the end.

I also heard that the raptors are now trained, so I guess that they won't be that much of a threat. Still cool in my opinion.
