GA450 LOOP ANTENNA short review

Early tests of the loop have been very positive. My expectations were quite low as I had read some very negative reviews about noise. True it is not as quiet as some of the homemade active and tuned loops I have made. But I couldn't make anything this professional looking and I was prepared to make one or two modifications to the power supply should it prove unusable. However this wasn't the case and I have had much fun with it.

I live in a flat surrounded by other flats and lots of local RF noise. Even a few meters of wire strung outside the window just introduces a whole lot of noise.

This is a dead neat little loop and being battery powered means you can take it from room to room or on holiday. It reminds me of the early AOR LA320 loop that I saw in shortwave magazine in the 1980s and dreamed about.

I will try and do several more videos to show you it's capabilities and limitations.
