Iran's UN envoy denies U.S. claim

Iranian officials are rejecting U.S. allegations of a threat altogether. The White House claims it has intelligence that Tehran intends to harm U.S. forces in the region, but has provided no specifics.

Looking at the case of the Iraqi invasion I say Iran would be a tough fight even for the Americans. There's no doubt USA could topple the Iranian leadership in a matter of days once the invasion started but the real problem would be how to administer this large country full of Iranian rebels? The US would need about half a million troops like in the case of Vietnam to get a foothold there and this would cost Americans taxpayers trillions of dollars. A luxury USA just can't afford at the moment..
