Thank you. Clear and simple instructions. Exactly what I was needing. I’m a semi handy homeowner, trying to get as many years as I can out of this 20 year? old washer and dryer. I did not need to replace the timer, but it had come loose from the panel and I wanted to see the recommended way to disassemble and reassemble it without causing more problems than I started with. Your replacement parts and instructions are very helpful. Thanks!

Thanks!! I couldn't figure out how to pry up those spring clips, those were monsters! The putty knife was perfect!! This was my exact timer and washer set up. I bought the timer from you since you had such a good video. Again many thanks, moved the washer to the deck to work on it and its 100 degrees out there!!

Thanks for showing me how to remove the knob from the timer.

Seems like my timer is the culprit with regard our washer issues but a new timer is almost a third the cost of a brand new washer. Our washer is quite old.Might just be better off with a new washer me-thinks. Helpful vid tho!

Excelente video...muchas gracias !!.

Thank you for this video- without it, I would've had a much more difficult time removing the hood and timer knob- which I probably would've broke by forcing it if you hadn't shown us how to pull the black pin back first. My Whirlpool is a slightly different model but some things are very similar. One step I think you neglected to show here was that the little screw underneath the timer dial has to be removed first. I'm pretty sure that screws into the timer and I had a very difficult time removing the timer until I removed that little screw. I don't see any other purpose for that screw unless it screws into the timer. As I said, my model is slightly different but the little screw appears in your video too. Again, I don't see any purpose for that screw on your washer other than screwing into the timer. Maybe it doesn't screw in but just holds the timer in alignment by fitting into the little hole in the timer? But again, thank you for the video- it was very helpful.

Had to pull the plastic (crappy) shaft to get the front knob off. It didn't screw off on my 2003 Kenmore 80 washer.
