I enjoy creating 5”, 4-3/4”, 7-1/4”, 7-1/2” gauge live steam equipment. I don’t replica my models to exact spect, but rather fancy the construction of replicating narrow gauge locomotives, wagons and track to my own pattern and or design. A few different Railroads and Railways that inspire my builds are LGB, Rio Grande, Kowie Railway (South Africa), Welshpool And Llanfair Light Railway Equipment, SR Railway, Thomas And Friends, Sugar Pine and West Side Lumber Co.

Old Western locomotives are in my option the trains that have the most personality out of any American locomotive. No other train beyond them used their more simple and iconic design, and it’s an era of steam that honestly is an era definitely worth preserving as these types of trains are so iconic and beloved by many.

Reminds me when I built my Ruby kit in G Scale, definitely a lot bigger though!

Hope to maybe afford something like this in the future, maybe a kit in 5 inch gauge. Until then, hope steams eternal, and I'll keep plugging around the garden with my "little 'uns".
