I find it funny how people say it has "web server capabilityies", and that is true, but not that it was specificly made for web servers but it just supports wifi and the tcpip stack so it can support any tcp protocol (and even udp iirc), so i could. Also say it has, idk, irc server capabilities, dns, rtsp(?) and many more

Those are nice projects, but they are kind of too simple for the ESP32... They can easily run on the ESP8266 for half the price per module.!

Instead of using a RTC, why don't we probe a server over the internet to get the time!?
Possibly the most overkill thing I've heard in a while.

nah the best use-case is building a NAS.. or maybe a web server.. and did you know you can make a crude (albeit one-way and sort of choppy) walkie talkie using ESP-NOW?

Oh, that clock is interesting. It has me thinking... no display needed. Hook that up to my microwave so it can set its time from NTP!
