I work at allstate in bodily injury. What on earth are you talking about? No you can't interview the insured customer. That's an invasion of their privacy just as we dome let the insured interview the claimant. We ask questions to understand what happened in the accident to determine liability. No one is trying to trick anyone, we are trying to figure out what happened and if we owe damages or not. For bodily injury it's the same thing. We need to know what happened in order to take care of them
