The latest Truckstop survey gathered insights from 2,000 carriers. We revisit the top truck driver complaints from two years ago, such as high fuel costs, low freight rates, excess truck capacity, and widespread fraud.

While high fuel costs and low freight rates remain major concerns, new issues have emerged in 2024. Rising insurance costs are a significant challenge for over 60% of carriers, with many owner-operators expecting premium increases this year.

We'll also discuss the impact of rising equipment costs and financing difficulties, as well as the burden of regulations and compliance affecting over 35% of carriers. Additionally, the persistent problem of truck parking remains a top concern for 30% of respondents.

Tune in to get a comprehensive overview of the current state of the trucking industry and what it means for your business. It seems truck driver complaints have gone unnoticed and it's interesting to see how the industry reacts to all of the challenges we've seen over the past two years in the trucking industry.

Basic subject is insurance & repairs.
This is probably way to long but I'm gonna through it out here any why.
18 mos ago I started thinking about get bc on the road. Progressive gave me a quote. They quoted me $8, 000.00. I was happy. With that I started bring the truck up to snuff & i had other stuff to do.
Fast forward to April. Progressive wouldn't even give me a quote. I had to get a quote from another company & they wanted $22, 000.00. WOW. By the time I found a better quote it was late March. Got a whole new broker & I got a quote for $14, 000.00. I had to except that. I took my truck in to have the AC compressor installed & they said the truck needs a new air compressor. I had to get parts and the truck needs to have the KW shop diagnose the ac because they don't have KW diagnostic test the ac control problem.
Now it's June, only 3 more most of the construction season, and it makes no sense to get on the road bc there's only 3 mos left. It would cost me $4, 800 a mo for insurance for the next 3 mos bc I only have 3 mos of work ahead of me. I stop driving in September.
