Kolkata Rape-Murder: Over 70 Padma Awardees Write To PM Modi, Demand Strict Action Against Rapists

As the country is reeling under the nationwide protest over the Kolkata rape and murder case, the Union Home Ministry has issued an order to all the states, asking them to submit reports regarding the law and order situation every two hours.

In the wake of nationwide protests and outrage over a trainee doctor's rape and murder in a Kolkata hospital, the Home Ministry stated that the law and order situation in all the states should be monitored.

The Union Home Ministry has directed the police forces of all states across the country to send reports every two hours through email, fax, or even WhatsApp.
