Customs Officer Assaulted by Driver for fighting Smuggling

A driver and his conductor have allegedly assaulted a Customs officer on duty at the Ghana Revenue Authority at the Zebilla Customs checkpoint for stopping a Kumasi-bound vehicle with suspected smuggled goods.

The victim, Junior Revenue officer, JRO, Bright Alagbo, was rushed to the Zebilla district hospital, where he undergoes treatment and was later discharged.
