I have legit no idea how Astruc could have claimed any inspiration from Code Lyoko, aside from maybe the episodic attacks from a villain-in-hiding. Code Lyoko had such better storylines and long-term plots, not to mention secondary characters.

I knew it! I loved Code Lyoko as a kid, and when I saw Miraculous Ladybug, then rewatched Code Lyoko, I saw so many similarites:
-catchy intro musics
-middle/high school life in a French academy
-weird love problems with the stereotypical plastic girl school bully, and love triangles
-students living a double life
-resetting everything as if it never happened then returning to school life to solve their normal life problems (this I think was the main similarity between the two cartoons)
-and the first season showing simple slices of double life before showing the origin stories and then the seasons beyond showing more bits of angst and heavy lore tied to the past

When Monarch stole all the miraculouses, Marinette could have gotten them all back. Hear me out, the guardian temple and all the other miracle boxes were restored in Feast. She could have just transformed into CosmoBug and could have asked the monks for miraculous. Even if the monks had moved to some where else cuz other humans found them, she could have gone into the temple to find clues to where they could have gone. Even if the Guardian temple was now made as a museum like thing and can't be entered by normal people, she could have sneaked in there being ladybug. THERE WERE A MILLION WAYS SHE COULD HAVE DONE THIS. Then, she could use the miraculous to get the others back and return the miraculouses to the monks back.

Villain waits every day to launch a new scheme that includes possessing disgruntled characters, main characters are (sometimes animal themed) superheroes and they’re high schoolers with secret identities, you have the bully girl that’s the daughter of an influential powerful guy, romance, fighting monsters, resetting everything to how it was in the end, love triangles, set in France. Even the principals give the same vibes.

I loved code lyoko . The sotry and the characters are better then in miracules . The main antagonist is treating un like gabriel . And ist funny how moracules stol the xana mined control abulity , the akumas do the same thing what xana done whit the peple like wiliem dambar how was controld by xana for mouth traping him in lyoko . I sorry for my english . I still learning because im hungarian.
