I would feel bad for Bowser if it wasn’t for the fact that he was literally about to sacrifice a bunch of innocent people who he abducted in a raging lava pit, destroyed an entire kingdom to steal the star and threw the king and his subjects of that kingdom in jail, tried to force Peach to marry him by threatening harm to her kingdom and toads, tried to destroy the Mushroom Kingdom with a giant bullet bill, kidnapped Luigi and the monkey people after he had already kidnapped the penguins and who knows who else besides that weird star dude, tried murdering both Mario and Donkey Kong by blowing them up off the rainbow road while laughing about it, then tried to burn Mario and Luigi to death. Just a few minor things.

it's not love, it's infatuation. Love is when you care for someone else's wellbeing OVER your own. which is one of the reason all of the greatest tradgedies pop up when it's one sided. Bowser wants peach because he thinks then HIS world will be perfect..independant of anything she actually wants.
