From what I currently know, the only loss the F-15 took was losing a wing in a Training Accident, but due to the jet's wide body, it surprisingly made a safe emergency landing & the pilot didn't even know he lost a wing until AFTER he landed. Afterwards, the jet was repaired & returned to service like nothing ever happened.

This airplane has:
1: shot down an Mi24 Hind with a laser guided JDAM
2: shot down a satallite. Which was still *_IN ORBIT_*
3: was only able to do ^ because of its INSANE thrust to weight ratio
4: is one of, if not THE ONLY airframe to have ABOVE a 100:1 K/D ratio

I crewed these in 96-2000 Langley AFB 94th FS SPADS!! 100% kill rate in combat! This jet, first in, last out. An unbelievable aircraft. Stood 30ft from a double burner run 45 degrees off the horizontal stab at the trim pad. It was 'illegal' but all engine runs were a push to MAX excitement. It was deafening with foamies(ear plugs) and over ear defenders. Only could take it a few seconds. It was BEAUTIFUL and equally terrifying. This thing could accelerate on a vertical take off(eagle climb) I think the F22 can do it too but this bird in Saudi Arabia in 155 degree heat was so fun to work on. Loved the pilot interactions and the work. Was super hard but so rewarding.
