Edit: For anyone who read my way-too-long original comment: Meh, you know what? Nevermind. It doesn't matter. Let's just call it "inspired by" Interstellar and leave it at that. It sounds awesome, it's enjoyable, and there's no need to go into reasons to dig into music theory to explain why it sounds identical to Interstellar in places, rather than like an original composition.

Kudos to the composer for an epic, enjoyable song. I like it very much, or I wouldn't have gotten emotional over it in the first place!
