If you wanna be cheap in your own house, that’s cool you’re not bothering anyone. But when you go out like at the ice cream place and waste that dudes time and annoy him, that’s when it’s out of hand.

People like this is the reason I no longer work retail. So many people in this world wanting something for nothing and believing they deserve it. Because of the adage "the customer is always right", the employees are being taken advantage of.

Being a person who is 28 and didn't come from money and still lives on a budget. These people make me so mad I'd hate to be in retail with people like this

This is embarrassing and they are wasting the time of the employees. They could’ve at least got an ice cream to split.. I just can’t. I don’t have the patience especially when they can clearly afford it. CRINGE 😵‍💫 I don’t blame the younger daughter one bit.

What I don't get is the insistence on objects. "Oh here's a 10 year old torn up valentine's box of chocolates that we reloaded with leftover halloween candy because we love you". Who cares? Who wants literal garbage?

Take Mom out to a beautiful wilderness location, and have all the kids talk about what they've done in the last year and how Mom has helped make it happen. Costs you $0 and doesn't involve recycling old garbage as faux gifts.

I guess free garbage is a better response to consumerism than spending big $$ on gifts, but it's like they want the symbolism of gifts without the gifts. Why do it at all?

how do they have the audacity to stay that long on the massage chair without feeling embarrased ???!!

In the massage furniture store “we’re trying to look around and see what’s out there for our lovely mom” no what she really meant was “we came here to waste your time and sit on these chairs to have our own personal spa day”. They are extremely rude. I feel really bad for the youngest daughter.

OMG, I reuse decorations as well but give new gifts. I like the idea of putting in sweat equity like giving a massage or pedicure at home to show your appreciation, it means more. The other stuff seems a little crazy and over the top.

This family can afford a nice home but they can't even pay for a ice cream? Absolutely horrendous!!! Other people have to make a living too, and are not here to help this family live for free.

If I were that ice cream shop I would specifically tell this family they get two samples. They’re costing the owners money
