CAn someone please explain the M#? Before today's game (9/15) The Phillies' M# was 7 and the Braves and Mets were tied for second. Any combo of a Phillies win and 2nd place team loss reduces the M#. So with a Phillies win and Mets loss, why isnt the M#5? Do two second place teams screw up the math (163-Phillies win - second place loss)?

Schmidt was a great player but he totally stinks as an announcer and an analyst. He definitely needs to be fired. He doesn’t even know who the starter was and he was at the game.
