Well said. Most restaurants cater to the majority of their customers that do not have allergies and do not understand allergies. Most mangers are not familiar with common products used in their restaurants or the ingredients. Even online information regarding ingredients and allergies often has errors. Just safer to eat at home unless you like plan salad.

Yes! Thank you! My daughter has peanut, tree nuts, sesame, flax, shellfish & egg…we also try to carry a chef’s card that we printed from the F.A.R.E website.

My child and I are allergic to refined sugar. It's added to almost everything, so it's extremely difficult for us to eat out. Generally, we avoid it! But, sometimes we travel and as much as I pack food for the road, sometimes we just have to buy something to eat. It's very challenging.
Adding social anxiety to that makes it stressful to ask all the questions! 😅

And I thought it's hard to find restaurants that accommodate a low sodium diet. (Being on an ultra-healthy diet for the past 4 years has made my taste buds more sensitive.)
