You can swipe the apps away to close once the red symbol is showing, you don't actually have to click the red symbol. That is the one think I don't like about the phone is holding in on the app first before swiping, I'd like to just swipe as soon as multitasking is open.

You don’t have to hit the red minus symbol to close them out (open apps). Once you long press on the app in the app switcher, you can flick it away as you normally would.

With regards to closing apps you can do the hold to show the red symbol then swipe as normal, far easier then pressing the close symbol

A Verizon rep cancelled my launch day preorder when I called to change the address without confirming with me... so I got pushed out to December 13th, but then I waited in line at a Verizon store, was 8/15 people and only waited an hour, and got a silver 256 (wanted space grey) right there. So that’s good.

PSA: The red blinking lights on the TrueDepth Camera are just the digital camera picking up infrared from the dot projector, they can't be seen in real life. You see them going crazy when unlocking the phone 4:39

It’s nice but I’ll wait until they make a plus. I have large hands and hate small body phones. Hopefully they keep the plus size and just give it a bigger screen

Can someone who has purchased iPhone X confirm and share which one will hold up well, Silver or Space Gray band? I really don’t want to put up a case, and might choose a colour more likely to hold up the day to day wear and tear down to a minimal. Thanks! (The Verge guy said he got scratches and dings on Silver in just few days and that's got me worried)

I'm watching few drop tests and teardown, and Silver shows micro abrasions? Or am I crazy? I'd really appreciate any input.

I guess I need to head to the Apple store as I just cant decide between a finger print magnet Space Gray, or abrasions on Silver that'd drive me mad.

Why do so many people get keep getting the app closing wrong. Tap and hold one then you can swipe up on the apps to dismiss.

Hey do you mind sending a picture or telling us how you put a Qi charger below the table? Does it reduce the power of Qi charging? Is it just a charger taped at the bottom? If so which model?

How do you use “Double Click” (?) to purchase music on iTunes? Can you disable this in favor of a different payment gesture? Also, I find it actually tricky (I tried out the 8+ before getting my X for about a week and a half.) to take a proper portrait. It feels like the lighting needs to be just so in order to capture the image you want. Outdoors? Should be able to do low light shots as well. Obviously haven’t gotten the hang of it having literally just bringing it home this afternoon, but I wonder what kind of shots I can get from it at night? Maybe none at all?

Ive got a launch version, but to be quite honest im not that impressed with it! Its a great phone, with a gorgeous display and awesome camera, but especially coming from a plus model(6S Plus), it does come as a smaller experience. Yes, the screen is still large; but the part you actually use isn't. I also have been experiencing some lag here and there, especially when it comes to the gestures, which generally make my experience navigating iOS a lot slower. And my cellular network is far slower than before too, for some reason (this could be unrelated to the phone though). In addition, Face ID does not recognize me whilst wearing sunglasses, nor does it recognize me in certain lighting conditions (particularly in strong backlight).The edges of the screen where it is glued to the body also feel far from smooth which takes away from the experience a bit. Getting the phone on launch day, definitely brought me a "launch day experience", which I also kind of expected. I anticipate the majority of the problems listed above to be fixed in the future or in following iterations, but god, do I hope they bring out a plus version next year! Lastly, all the apps that have to still be optimized are a pain in the ass, but again time will fix that.
