With all the news surrounding #shaktimaan and #mukeshkhanna and whether or not the movie will be even made, I thought about several instances where filmmakers, actors and producers from #bollywood #telugu and #tamil cinema are far too confident with their product and smug about it in public. This includes what happened with #kanguva and #devara and several other instances! I hope you like the video on When Overconfidence Ruins Indian Movies & Careers

Everyone is overconfident until Sajid Khan says " I am INDIA'S SPIELBERG, I CAN NEVER MAKE A FLOP FILM "

'You Either Die a Hero or Live Long Enough to See Yourself Become the Villain' - suits perfectly for shaktimaan, not the character but the makers.

I remember some kids even jumped from buildings believing Shaktimaan will save them and sadly dying. Such was the hype of Shaktimaan. Every kid followed every episode of Shaktimaan and the week that Shaktimaan didnt air was the most boring week. As a 90s kid, it really breaks my heart to see a famous icon from my childhood living in a parallel world right now.

Damn even maybe Robert Downey Jr. doesn’t love Ironman like how Mukesh Khanna loves Shaktimaan 💀

That pat on Om Raut's back by Prabhas isn't to console him but to be like, "I think you've been dramatic enough you can stop now."

Mukesh Khanna is treating Shaktimaan as this billion dollar franchise. Not even George Lucas was this obsessed with Star Wars. It won't be the end of the world if a Shaktimaan movie doesn't get made. There's no dearth of content from DC and Marvel in coming years.

Remember when Karthik Aryan was acting all smug after BB2 and goving interviews that he gives the ROI to the producers in 25 days or something and immediately followed Shehzada to humble him. Everyone should remember that time is tidal wave.

The Movie Qala beautifully deals with the topic when the artists get obsessed with their creation they lose objectivity. The Mukesh Khanna case is the prime example of that.

Mukesh Khanna is a really good actor. He portrayed Bhishmapitama and Shaktiman, two of the most loved characters yet while being one of the biggest A-hole in real life. Truly a great actor.

I met Jacky Bhagnani at a party once. He was so smug and arrogant that almost everyone there absolutely hated him. This was around 2013, just before the release of his movie 'Rangrezz'. It gave me immense joy to see his movies flop over and over.

After the masterpiece made by Om Raut in Adipurush, I certainly think the rumours of Ajay Devgn ghost directing Tanhaji was true

That’s a solid perspective! Directors who deeply believe in their work, as seen with Kantara or Hanu-Man, often create authentic art that resonates with audiences. Relying on word-of-mouth marketing after presenting a quality product reflects confidence in the story’s power. Such faith can lead to organic success, as the audience becomes the film’s strongest advocate.

I remember director Jithu joseph when asked about drishyam before release if it’s an engaging thriller or not-he just casually replied it’s an ordinary family drama movie😜
Well said👏

As a genuine Cinema fan, i think Ranveer Singh is the best actor to portray Shaktimaan.
Gangadhar's comedic relief & innocent, and Shaktimaan moral thoughts with mature personality.
Both personalities are very different & Ranveer is an extremely versatile actor he proved everyone from time to time.

Separate "the Art" & "the Artist".
In the real world every person has personal & professional life separated.

It is very sad that Indian Cinema could never progress due to narrow minded thinking.

There used to be a cartoon called batman beyond. In it an old Bruce Wayne mentors and passes on the batman mantle to a younger guy. In the Antonio banderas movie called zorro, an older zorro mentors and passes on the legacy to antonio before passing away. Even in the third cars animated movie, lightning McQueen mentors a new car and creates a new racing legend. Mukesh Khanna could have played that teacher role for Ranveer Singh which not only introduces his work to the gen z, but also would give a nostalgia trip to us millennials while getting the most perfect send off and create his legacy. But he chose to be a freaking boomer uncle instead 🤦🏻‍♂️

Siddharth is so proud of how young he looks, his beliefs, his diet, his wife, his meaningful movies, his sleeping and of course Kamal Hassan.
