Being 48 years now, the Film from 1988 still moves me so deep inside that I can‘t find the words to express. A great movie and a wonderful song- always will have a special place in my heart. Jodie Foster at her very best ;-) like with others, had nearly forgotten about it since ages. Last night, away from home, something triggered me to search for it and I watched it two times over. That is art, when it can move us all over again.

Stealing Home is one of those movies which is a tragi-commedy made into a five star epic by the two Fosters featured here. Jodie Foster in her most beautiful early years is stunning. David Foster's hauntingly gorgeous love song played at the critical climactic pont in the film is ingenius.

Marilyn has such a beautiful voice . She isn't very well known in Australia . Apart from seperate lives with phill Collins . I bought a 7' vinyl single night moves . Love the song What I always liked about the movie was complexity of the central relationship, (Billy & Katie )as the mature Billy realizes that the most important woman in his life arrived when he was too young to appreciate her. And with Katie Billy was the only man she ever loved. The guy she ran off to get married to was just her ticket out of her parent's home
