Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster Repair : Disassembly

My heater failed and ordered the replacement, plus learned that depending on what year production model you have if you need to replace sensors you have to also replace the main board because of incompatiblity. When I consider the amount of run time on my unit has been I consider this brand high maintenance costwise. There was a considerable amount of mechanical components to wear out, ceramic bearings and other stuff for the rotating drum. Will be looking elsewhere when I make the decision to replace. Wish I could be more positive on this design. I have other roasters that I used to make small batches and only ran the Gene Cafe for large batches, so it wasn't really run hard over the years.

The drum on mine has started to shudder, moving within the guides every time the right side reaches the top. Any suggestions?
