This kind of development opens up future possibilities in the virtual world that will become very important in a few years. Not only choosing an appearance, but also subtly tweaking gestures and expressions to create a new version of our "self" (more expressive or creepier or whatever), like an advanced version of the usernames we choose online to express our interests or personality, with which we often feel more identified or better represented. When this becomes a reality, appearance and expression will be something very different and evolved.

Definitely can see this for meetings. Especially remote. This lands so well with VR and so with haptics this can be a Sim VR (which I hope happens sooner than later).

It's literally gonna be like the Surrogates movie played by Bruce Willis where everything will be online eventually.

Imagine a VR game where you customize yourself like the Sims but with this technology. Quality is there, visual tracking and description of visuals are also there. So now we need haptic gloves and the best sleek and lightest VR headset ever lmao.

one big thing im looking foward to is when people can make their own movies using this kind of tech as well as modifying existing content, getting to choose what actors are in the show, what voice actor is in the movie, or the style of the game you're playing, turning things to realistic or even into a cartoon format.
