While My Guitar Gently Weeps - Acoustic Cover

Показать описание
Hello again.
Well, this time I uploaded another video not long after the last one...:)
This is George Harrison's famous song, While My Guitar Gently Weeps(White Album 1968). This song has some interesting 'behind the scenes' stuff...George recorded it in various ways. At first unplugged, then with electric guitars ect...The most interesting part is that he even tried some backwards guitar work for this song, a technique he had already used in I'm Only Sleeping, Tomorrow Never Knows ect... According to beatleologists, there were various recordings of this song, each of them was really different from the others. But George wasn't satisfied with any of that, he invited Eric Clapton at the studio and the rest is history...The big big shame of the whole story is that there aren't any tapes of those other versions, although Abbey Road Studios kept every recording the Beatles made(apart from the early ones).
Anyway, that's it for the story around the song. This particular video is a cover of the excellent quality demo George(giutar and vocal) recorded with Paul on harmonium that can be heard on Anthology 3. This particular track is also known from the Love album and features some really splendid instrumentation from -who else?- George Martin.
This was a rather modest recording I made, featuring only 3 tracks:
-1 track acoustic guitar
-1 track organ
-1 track vocals
As for the video, it is again done with green screen. I guess I tried to reproduct the exact situation in which the demo was recorded: Inside a studio(sorry, it couldn't be Abbey Road), with George singing and playing his Ej-200 and Paul in the backround messing with the harmonium...:)
Enjoy!!
