God, I was at this game. Brutal. The weather was brutal. The game was brutal. I'm so proud of how the team responded clowning Michigan in the Big House and beating Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl. We'll be back, America. The Buckeyes will be back.

They lost because they didn't execute.

Very true. MSU wanted it more that night and OSU play calling was abysmal. They play like they did against TUN and ND all year they play for the title, but coulda, shoulda, woulda.

It's a well-reasoned analysis, but it's wrong.  Reason: it didn't apply to the defense all year.  Defense played great, including against Mich St.  Only reason they gave up 17 was because they were on the field all night.  Reason: offense horrible all year.  Why?  Defensive coaches returned.  Huge change in offensive coaching staff.  For whatever reason, the offense is demoralized.  I can see one champion QB having a letdown but not both.  It's coaching.

Actually he's right, sure the play calls were bad no garbage, but it could also mean the coaching staff got cocky too and their apart of the team.

As a huge MSU fan, there was an insane amount of wind in that game which favored MSU's stellar run defense and allowed their young, inexperienced defensive backfield a break. Plus Urban called a terrible game. I never liked Ezekiel Elliot but he was 100% right after that game. Urban didn't give them a chance to win.

No I disagree with this video. They lost the football game because of the incompetent coaching and play calling. The players played their hearts out. MSU only dominated the line of scrimmage when OSU was on offense and that was partly because of the play calling. MSU was playing offense the whole game and they still only scored 17.

I told Buckeyes will lose to Spartans and they will lose to Harbaugh this Saturday.

It's true, the ego and the lesser amount of hunger compared to last year were things that I have noticed all year. Things you notice when they're struggling to get by Indiana and such. I don't think that's the #1 reason they lost, though. To me, the #1 reason was offensive coaching. They lost on a last second field goal in a game they didn't trail until said field goal. Any kind of competent playcalling might have produced that one extra score that OSU needed to win. There's no reason the talent that OSU has should be held to 132 yards of offense by anyone. Bottom line - Tom Herman leaves, Tim Beck replaces him. Tim Beck clearly is no Tom Herman.

Michigan State isn't anything special. They got extremely lucky against Michigan. Not to mention Rutgers and their 4th down spike - two major boners by their opponents that allowed them to win in the end. Maybe they got screwed against Nebraska, but they were up 12 points with 4 minutes to go. Kind of on you if you let a team back in it in that scenario. I think they're going to get thumped by Alabama.

the reason they lost was because they killed the chemistry when they replaced cardale jones as the starting qb.

This is speculation. Also he starts to make an analogy with the Duke UNLV game and then he destroys his own analogy by saying Duke was the better team that day. So what's the point? The better team won so what did cockiness have to do with it? Maybe MSU would beat OSU if both teams were equally cocky, or beat them some of the time?

Why did he skip where Saban completely undermined the program by the 'easy schedule' horseshit twitter crap? Talking shit about a schedule - which effects players that have nothing to do with who they play - is pure cowardice. He might have 'won' the title this year, but let's remember: he talked trash about an OSU schedule, effectively a team that handed Alabama their ass last year, and then goes onto win it this year? Why did OSU earn the attention this year then... because if ALA would have done their crimson time-of-the-month against OSU it could have turned out a lot different. Surely better than MSU. Funny how that worked out, ain't it? BTW have any of us top 10/20 engineering or business school peeps spoken with ALA folks? I did in Austin TX when I lived there... yeah

braxton miller wanted playing time??? he went to meyer and basically said ill help ya make the decision. let someone else play qb and ill become a wr in my last year in college. these people make stuff up as they go. the media and the media alone engineered the braxton transfering rumors.
