‘I’m ready for this’: Canada’s 1st female defence chief takes command

Gen. Jennie Carignan has officially taken command of the Canadian Armed Forces as the first female chief of the defence staff. Carignan said she’s ‘ready to lead’ and warned Canada has ‘about five years’ to get ready for emerging threats to its security.
