He was an EFFECTIVE leader, not a good leader. I get what you’re trying to say, but you used the wrong word

As a German, I think it's crazy how little Americans know about Hitler or WW2

Good leader and good person are not the same. Ghenghis Khan was a good leader too, you can be good at something without being a good person. Horrible people have qualities too...

He was not a good leader, he was good at rialing masses. Every time he tried to get involved in his general’s tactics, they failed royally. Learn your facts before making a statement like that.

he took over the most productive workforce/industrial economy of europe at rock bottom (can only get better right?) and within 12 years it was a steaming sh*thole full of corpses with metro areas reduced to rubble. yeah great leadership dude lol half the military got smoked on the eastern front and frozen to the ground before driven over by thousands of soviet tanks like a pile of diseased roadkill. his tactics are now taught in military academies as examples of what NOT to do, like fight on multiple fronts, or wasting time and men to capture an objective with little strategic value (stalingrad). he actually got too distracted with the balkan and african campaigns that he forgot about barbarossa (invasion of ussr) and had to be reminded by his cabinet, which is why the entire operation failed miserably. it was several months later than it should've been, and so his men froze to death or ended up in gulags.

A good leader doesn't leave his nation in ruins, and millions of his people dead

He wasn't even close to having Russia, they let him take unimportant parts of Russia to defeat him like they did with Napoleon.

He was very good for his own people and the only one in history to put his country on its feets in only 5 years.

The power to get people to follow you is a part of leadership for sure
