Good movie. Seen it. Lily was impressive. I didn't even know if she had any acting skills before this. Nosferatu is the original story of Dracula so if the story is familiar that's because many have seen the Dracula story.

I‘ve watched this segment at LEAST 10 times!

I’m like eggers minus the inherent talent. I used to rent these weird books from the library early as a kid about folkloric creatures and ghosts and witchcraft and such and saw a picture of max schrek as Orlock and was taken immediately by it. Unfortunately for me at that time I didn’t have avenues of acquiring such a movie on vhs.

However after all those years of waiting I finally saw Nosferatu on DVD when I was 16 and was blown away by how eerie it was. For me nosferatu and the film Bram Stokers Dracula are the best adaptations (that’s just me though)

Freshman film students could have made a better movie on an SLR with outfits rented from Halloween costume store. I could have almost believed that the director intentionally tried to insult his audience and is privately hysterical! When I first heard Orlok's voice I had to suppress a laugh as not to disturb other theatergoers. I actually did laugh when the guy bit the head off the pigeon. I thought of Ozzie! We walked out as the magic lantern boat was sailing to its destination. What an absolute abomination of a film.
