Am a Catholic, but I will always love our brothers and sisters in the Church of England. God Bless the Church.

It may not be a Catholic mass but this service is so magnificent. I just love the music. Very beautiful, splendid and spectacular!

PS: Gloria's rendition of the choir was so uplifting

I was brought up a Catholic and never have I been so moved and touched and moved by this recorded service. I could smell the incense and hear the crinkling of the celebrants' vestments and the Vicar's moving word's of action to all Christ's children. I don't care that the celebrant was a woman, I have never seen anything more meaningful than the sight of a female celebrant at the altar. I am confident God in Heaven is accepting of this inclusion of all in his church and caretakers of his flock. I beleive women were quite active in the early Christian church, using their homes as meeting places for sharing Christian faith. I am only sorry that I, as many of us are, not able to be present in churches throughout our communities for the celebration of Christmas and Sunday worship during this pandemic. Christmas was not a celebretory as usual, it hurts to have to be away from our places of worship. God please alleviate us from the dangers of the present so we may return to worshipping you in community of faith! Thank you BBC and All Saints Church!

That boy in the king costume was so cute! Especially when he look at his guardian when the vicar said “one king”

You can tell right away that this is an Anglican service because the congregation sings, unlike a RC service. I don't know how things are weekly in England, but in my Grace Episcopal Church in Alexandria Virginia USA this is the way it is every week with 5 services each Sunday. The church seats about 250.

This was absolutely wonderful. I loved all of the singing, the apparent willingness of the congregation to SING when expected to (the dream of every organist!), as an organist I loved hearing the organ and the lovely acoustics of that church. I was hoping to see the organ console and a better glimpse of the pipe facade, but thanks for the link to the information on the organ in the description. Never a bad service televised from England, never.

Deus abençoe está congregação. Que a Luz do Cristo Salvador brilhe em cada coração destes filhos amados do Senhor.

It should be like this every day, shouldn't it?

it is incredibly saddening to see such bigotry and discriminatory behaviour in the comments section(and mostly are christians themselves, hypocrites...), can one enjoy a sublime moment without everyone else bickering what's right or wrong? maybe i shouldn't have gone to the comments in the first place...

Excellent music, liturgy, choreography. A wonderful celebration! If only this were representative of the CofE in general. Sadly, it is not the case.

In the Church of Ireland (Anglican) we generally don't have 'bells and smells', and replace wafers with normal 'loaf' bread

Is there any chance of doing something similar with this year's broadcast from Oldham, please?

bwilliams, do you recommend any particular books, papers, etc. on these topics? i guess you know that the ecusa is in a state of flux over the split. it is a damn mess, and many who do not care for the "touchy-feely" american anglican services and those who do not accept the "gay" thing are pretty much left out in the rain, so to speak. i am one of those, it seems. we would be using the 1920 prayer book, should i have authority over the messe/evensong., etc.

It's a good church, I see! Even black people can attend the ceremony in the church! I've seen in America, that black people, they have their own churches!
