Straïka: Las fè moun mal
Показать описание
Las fè moun man is the latest single from the legendary Straïka.
In this Dancehall-sounding track (which means “you can’t get enough of hurting people” in Creole), Straika tackles some of the problems of our society, in the assertive style that characterizes all of his work.
“Las fè moun mal” is the first single from an upcoming EP produced by the Mango Tree Music label.
Lyrics (with English translation):
Intro
Well ah di straika rivini pou sa sa di yo
Yeah IYAH

Verse 1
A ki moman tout’ bagay chanjé mwen pa ni tan wéalizé
(When did everything change, I didn't even realize it)
Mété la planèt’ an kawantèn’ ek tout’ moun’ an konfiné
(Put the planet in quarantine and lock everybody down)
Adan moman sé « couvre feu » ek tout’ moun’ twomatizé
(Before I realized, we had a curfew and everyone is traumatized)
Sa pa té assé jodi yo sé lé tout’ moun’ an vaksiné
(And if it wasn’t enough, now they want everyone to be vaccinated)
Yo ka fou moun’ la jôl dépi yo ésséyé pwotesté
(They put people in jail simply because they protest)
Lé « force de l’ordre » pa mélé sa yo konnèt’ sé britalité
(Police doesn’t really care, all they know is brutality.)
Ni sa ka pèd’ twavay yo malgwé konbien moun’ yo sové
(Some lost their job despite all the lives they saved.)
Mé fwanchman
(Honestly…)
Chorus (x4)
Zot’ pa lass fè moun’ mal
(Aren’t you tired of hurting people)
Moun’ mal
(Hurting people)
Moun’ mal
(Hurting people)
Verse 2
Doudou chéwi mwen sav’ ou té lé an ti liwiks pou nou lové
(Darling I know you were expecting something lighter )
Mé si ou konnèt’ mwen bien,Ou sav mwen pa sa rété la épi pé
(But if you know me, you know I can’t stay here and say nothing)
I ni konbien ka fè l’otwuch pou pa fini stigmatizé
(People don’t wanna face what’s going on and get stigmatized)
An ka chanté la wéalité ek an pa bizwen klippé
(I sing about reality, and I don’t need music videos)
Ou pé ké tann sa la wadyo pass sa ka fè yo flippé
(You won’t hear this on radio, they’re too afraid)
Es ou ké tann mwen pliss si mwen té ni an djet’ pwivé
(Would you pay more attention to me if I was flying in private jets?)

(Open your eyes and listen to what I say)
Inaktivité sèwten douvan sa ka fèt’ ka fè mwen dessann
(Cant believe the lack of reaction from some of us.)
Ou pé pa di mwen pani dlo gwada ek yo palé poté ganm
(There’s no water in Guadeloupe and they’re not doing anything about it.)
An ni lenpwessyon ayen pa chanjé dépi an tan chan kann
(It feels like nothing has changed since slavery)
Pani gouvèwnè mé pwéfè ka anni monté dessann
(No more masters, they’re replaced by chief of police)
