23:00 Question: What are you going to do about worsening economic inequality?
Josh Mandel: People should have the freedom to choose to be vaccinated or not. (What is he talking about???)
Morgan Harper: I think my opponent might have misunderstood the question. The question was about economic inequality...(Answers question.)

Yeah, if this is between Josh and Morgan here. I choose Morgan, there is no way I will support someone who is explicitly against the separation between church and state. Did we not already go through this when Europe came to America?

46:30 Relating to a question about Church and State (Josh Mandel stated he does not believe in the separation of Church and State. Some quotes from some of our Founding Fathers on Christianity:

Thomas Jefferson:
"I have examined all the known superstitions of the word, and I do not find in our particular superstition of Christianity one redeeming feature. They are all alike founded on fables and mythology. Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned. What has been the effect of this coercion? To make one half the world fools and the other half hypocrites; to support roguery and error all over the earth."
-- Six Historic Americans by John E. Remsburg, letter to William Short

John Adams:
"The doctrine of the divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity." Adams signed the Treaty of Tripoli. Article 11 states: "The Government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion."

Thomas Paine:
"Of all the tyrannies that affect mankind, tyranny in religion is the worst; every other species of tyranny is limited to the world we live in; but this attempts to stride beyond the grave, and seeks to pursue us into eternity."

Thomas Paine:
"All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit."

Thomas Paine:
"Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness, with which more than half of the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind."

James Madison:
"What influence in fact have Christian ecclesiastical establishments had on civil society? In many instances they have been upholding the thrones of political tyranny. In no instance have they been seen as the guardians of the liberties of the people. Rulers who wished to subvert the public liberty have found in the clergy convenient auxiliaries. A just government, instituted to secure and perpetuate liberty, does not need the clergy." Madison objected to state-supported chaplains in Congress and to the exemption of churches from taxation. He wrote: "Religion and government will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together."

Benjamin Franklin:
"If we look back into history for the character of the present sects in Christianity, we shall find few that have not in their turns been persecutors, and complainers of persecution. The primitive Christians thought persecution extremely wrong in the Pagans, but practiced it on one another. The first Protestants of the Church of England blamed persecution in the Romish Church, but practiced it upon the Puritans. They found it wrong in Bishops, but fell into the practice themselves both here (England) and in New England."

Abraham Lincoln:
"My earlier views of the unsoundness of the Christian scheme of salvation and the human origin of the scriptures have become clearer and stronger with advancing years, and I see no reason for thinking I shall ever change them."

George Washington:
"Religious controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable hatreds than those which spring from any other cause. Of all the animosities which have existed among mankind, those which are caused by the difference of sentiments in religion appear to be the most inveterate and distressing, and ought most to be depreciated. I was in hopes that the enlightened and liberal policy, which has marked the present age, would at least have reconciled Christians of every denomination so far that we should never again see the religious disputes carried to such a pitch as to endanger the peace of society." - letter to Edward Newenham, 1792

Astonishing that this "crypto-decentralizer of money" was the Treasurer of the State of Ohio.

Josh Mandel is literally insane and his only positions on issues are that he’s a trump supporter. Absolutely no idea on how he’s going to help the people of Ohio. From Tennessee with love, I hope Ohioans make the right decision.

It blows my mind that Josh WAS INDEED THE GOP NOMINATED SENATE CANDIDATE in 2012.... And he was close to win at the time.

On the military draft, when she said "I'm for people being able to make their own decisions, " it essentially meant she's against the draft entirely so she was correct in that she answered the question.

She just needs to be more clear and directly answer the question as opposed to indirectly answering.

That said, abolishing the draft is a position I support as a conservative.

Hey Ohio, the whole "Awake America" as moderator is beyond insane.

Josh Mandel is literally insane. If your voting Republican chose someone else who is normal and has a chance at winning the general election

Also did anyone notice how he said Morgan Harper was running for...governor?

Josh Mandel: We have the Second Amendment to combat tyranny from the government.
Also Josh Mandel in the same response: We need to stop tyranny by empowering police to "crush" Black Lives Matter.

Morgan Harper has my support from Virginia.

Josh Mandel... Pro-GOD, Pro-Gun, Pro-Trump and hold a Bible in one hand. People with common sense knows Trump is evil and has a very shady past. Those who are truly Catholics and Christians understand they are to follow the teachings of Jesus not man's political and financial agenda. Kind of hypocritical when you claim to be Pro-Trump and hold a Bible in one hand but as I stated only those with common sense understands and obviously you don't have any.

As a conservative voter of Color, Josh Mandel is an embarrassment. We don’t claim him.

Morgan Harper did an outstanding job and Josh Mandel made clear why he should be nowhere near the Senate. Unfortunately, we are in a period of anti-intellectualism in this nation where the brilliance of people like Morgan is seen as a deficit and the lack of intellectual stamina and curiosity as we witnessed in Josh is applauded.

Whew! Josh is off the deep end. Does he have a string in his back so when you pull it he spews fringe- right talking points. Not much difference between his views and the Taliban.
