Russell took the fourth-youngest team in the NBA, replete with rookies, newcomers, and no second star player as a starter, and took them this far.

Harden took the best-shooting team in the NBA, replete with seasoned veterans, two Sixth Man of the Year candidates (Sweet Lou and Eric Gordon), a Defensive Player of the Year candidate (Beverley), and while few thought the Rockets would make such a drastic turnaround from last season (a feat in itself, still, it became very obvious very soon that Rockets were one of the NBA's top teams.

I love my dude Harden, and he gave a noteworthy season himself.

But my dude Russ did more with less. He's the true MVP.

Russ was so valuable, the man couldn't even afford to sit down just to rest. The team couldn't afford to have him not play for a single minute.

And, boy, did he try. One hell of a try.

Russell's triple-doubles became the benchmark for if the team won or lost. That's not stats-padding. That's Russell Westbrook, proving that he's the MVP.
