Rest In Peace, Honk the goose. He passed peacefully in the sun yesterday while napping on his favorite pile of leaves. He is remembered through this video, his social media, his upcoming film, and his children’s books. A deeply sad loss of a beautiful bird, inside and out. 🌈🖤🖤🪶🖤🖤🌹

Sometimes an animal just chooses you. I had a hamster choose me when I was a kid, I found him running around outside trying to break into my neighbors apartment who was having a fit because she thought he was a rat. He saw me and was calm so I scooped him up because I noticed he had what appeared to be a cat bite on his back and we went on to have many lovely years together. He was the only hamster I ever met that didn't dare to bite anyone, not even my young sibling and he loved spending time near us. Honestly he was such a weird hamster (I once found him stuck in the toilet) but I really loved him and I'm glad he found me.

Cheryl was able to find him a wonderful sanctuary (Rogers Wildlife in Texas) that is only 20 minutes from her home. Honk has another goose friend and they have a pond and a pool and get to roam the grounds freely (yet safely). Happy ending. Cheryl still visits him frequently. 💞

That is so sad someone would dump a domesticated goose like that. I hope they can find him a better home because I worry something might happen to him because he is so trusting 😪
