God I love Yevgeny. My favourite after Peter Quinn.

Really wish Homeland could have gone on, and with Yevgeny. Really good character and one to actually keep Carrie on her toes.

"I can't betray Saul"/
"I can't turn my backs on her"!
Oh my God What a double punch!
In my opinion Carrie & Saul are tangled for Life!
There Is an ancient latin quote to express this unique linkage among them:
"Simul stabunt Simul cadent"/
That approximatly can be translated in such a way :
" At the same way they stand up (together)/ at the same way they Shall fall ( together)/.
It's sad & very harsh to say & write this one after ten Epic, outstanding unmatched compelling years of this journey named Homeland/
but I'm really afraid that we have to expect a very dark finale for our Heroes!
I Hope, Oh! I really Hope I'm Wrong!
Only two more episodes ahead!
Wait & see!. 💘💘💘

You cut off the best line. Yevgeny replies, “From what I’ve seen, you can do just about anything”.

Other than Carry’s crying all the time with the quivering lip, this is Thee Best series ever created.

SOOO GOOD!
So Good that it can and does overcome Carry’s silly, ridiculous crying all the time.
That lip quivering has almost ruined some of thee greatest episodes ever made of any kind.

HOMELAND is the best.
Too bad it’s the final season but it’s lived up to what I’d expect from a final season of the best television ever created.
By far better than GOT and is even better than Sopranos & The Wire, which are the next best.

Carrie comes closer, standing over him now. And she leans forward, a narrow-eyed glare burning holes in his face.

“You think I blame you?” She snorts. “Don’t… flatter yourself. Because blaming you would imply that what you did to me was personal. But it wasn’t, was it? I was a captured enemy agent. And what you did… withdrawing my medication, stripping me of my last shreds of humanity, watching me claw my nails bloody at those white tiles at night, flinging my waste at your people…” She shakes her head. “You systematically pulled me apart. For months. And then you swung in at the most opportune moment. You ‘saved my life’, and you ‘managed to put me back on my meds for a couple of weeks there’. A ‘couple of weeks’, ” she spits. “...out of seven months I was there. You show me some kindness, take me for long walks in the birch forest, have me bare my soul to you…”

For the first time since the day they left for Ramallah her face wobbles, and her voice breaks.

“You think I don’t know what it’s called, Yevgeny?” She leans closer. “You think I’ve never recruited an asset?” And closer still. “You don’t think I know what it feels like? The guilt, when they finally break? The look in their eyes when they finally trust you?”

He uses every ounce of his will power to steady his voice, holding her teary, fluttering stare. “Carrie, you’re wrong, ” he says, measuring every word. “I know you think this. And I know it makes sense. But that wasn’t what happened.”

Her face is a wobbling mess now, every muscle twitching. “Like hell it wasn’t, ” she mouths. “You knew what withdrawing my medication would do to me. And you fucking did it anyway. You broke me. You put me back together again. And you used me. And now you’ve got me here, in your house, day after day, a walking, breathing reminder of what you did. And it hurts. I know it does, believe me. I’ve been there.”

There’s barely an inch separating their faces when she breathes her last words for the night.

“Damn you to hell, ” she hisses. “Damn you to fucking hell, Yevgeny. Because here I am. And whatever you think you feel, whatever you think happened between us, I hope it hurts. And I hope it hurts for a long, long time.”

hi Yevgeny Gromov. i'm so sorry to bothering you with this but i don't have anyone to ask this am writing Homeland about and i need to get to know about GRU / ГРУ like what they're doing? how they're working? what they're rules ? they're like CIA ?

The GRU is the military intelligence directorate in Russia. So it’s like the CIA, but not completely analogous, as the CIA is civilian foreign intelligence. Wikipedia is probably a good place to start, and then read the direct sources/references.

And then end with Carrie in a long-term relationship with the guy who went rogue and killed many many people the previous season, took her off her meds, held her captive, got her to talk. They fall in-love?

When she’s not being interrogated, she sleeps all day, her body somehow knowing it finally has permission to rest. The combination of deep sleep and mostly empty days allow new memories from the asylum to resurface. Like her brain decided to regain lost territory. Most of them center around the brutal interrogations she endured when she was still half-way lucid, before she lost touch with reality entirely. They—at Yevgeny’s behest—did unspeakable things to her: starvation, sensory deprivation, filling her cell with photos of Franny, shackling her to a chair for weeks, among other things. Everything they could possibly do to accelerate her descent into madness.

Face to face with the man who gave her hell.
Hell yeaaaah, Carrie and Saul💙 I love what they did with the ending! Unexpected but fitting for her character, sort of a happy end but also a beginning of something new, ambiguous and a little open for imagination and not enough to leave the audience angry ... and the title Carrie Mathison: Why I Had To Betray My Country, that's just brilliant, considering how many times she betrayed her country and everyone she loved without a blink of an eye, and she actually ALWAYS did it FOR HER COUNTRY 😄 👌

Carrie will come to an end somehow. I can't help but look back to Brodie. I expect this to go full circle. Carrie will end up feeding Moscow and betray her country just as Brodie did. I expect her to be put in a position of power to facilitate her access to the information Moscow want.
I think the ending of Red Sparrow might be what occurs.

Me gustó el final, pero no entiendo como espías pueden llegar a ese nivel de confianza
