It's called a Sun Shower. We get them here in Florida. I feel like they happened more often when I was a kid. But maybe I was just more optimistic and positive back then.

The south can have some strange weather. We used to go to Florida quite a bit. We would have sun shining in the front yard while it was pouring rain in the backyard. Strange stuff.

When I was young and with my grandparents my grandma one day said that rain while the sun is shinning means the devil is beating his wife… Has anyone else ever heard that old wive’s tale?
