JPSS-1 launched by Delta II

The Joint Polar Satellite System 1 satellite, JPSS-1, was launched by a United Launch Alliance Delta II launch vehicle from Space Launch Complex 2, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, on 18 November 2017, at 09:47:36 UTC (01:47:36 PST). JPSS-1, or NOAA-20 as it will be known once operational, is the second spacecraft within NOAA's next generation of polar-orbiting environmental satellites. The mission marks the 154th Delta II launch since its first flight in 1989 and the 53rd mission for NASA.
