Ferrari 512 BBi Is A Piece of Art - Petrolicious

When Holger Schubert created his studio-garage space, he did what any self-respecting, Ferrari-loving, minimalist architect would do: he took his work-of-art BB 512i and built everything around it. As any showcased work of art deserves to be, Holger's car is in the spotlight and on the pedestal that is the studio garage, which was designed and built for the specific purpose of working and living alongside the Ferrari. Holger shares the details of his car and of his enviable space, which includes a 16-foot driveway bridge, a ramp to roll the car outside to start, and some of the best views a car can take in of the Pacific Ocean.

These videos are motivation for those long nights during midterms and getting yelled at in customer service.

i thought the ramp was extra but now i understand. Letting the car roll out on neutral won't let the fumes get trapped in his living room if he started the car and reversed out lol

This is my most favorite Petrolious video that I keep going back to watch. This gentleman likes architecture, classic Italian cars, and minimalism. Perfecto!

This is the automotive equivalent of Falling Water by Frank Lloyd Wright. He built a minimalist house over a waterfall in Pennsylvania back in 1935. The idea is that the flat surfaces and blank slate styling magnifies the beauty of the infinite layers of the natural landscape. This garage/studio space is not without style. The style is overly simple and flat so that the shape of the car is amplified.

Think of this car was parked next to an 911 and a muscle car of the same era. The curves of the Porsche and the loud design of the muscle car would drown out the Ferrari. So this man built his garage to showcase this car that he finds so great in so many ways.

He parked his Ferrari in his living room before it was cool.

This is absolutely, absolutely spectacular: The design of the house, the car and the quality of the Petrolicious film itself. Great ambition on all counts. Thank you, gents.

Ive always wanted a living space with a car in it. This is almost what I'd envisioned in my mind. Spectacular.

At 2:32 “I enjoy driving the car on windy roads, where it’s not about speed, it’s about… being in the right gear, shifting up, shifting down… really getting a feeling for the car.”
Could not have said it better. I've driven a Lotus Elise on California central coast roads (Big Sur, Carmel Valley, etc) for over seven years now, and this is exactly my mindset when I'm out for a drive. You keep being you, Holger!

The 512 Berlinetta Boxer was (and still is) my favourite Ferrari. Growing up in the 1970s and early 1980s, you liked the Countach, the Stratos, the Bora, the Khamsin, the Pantera...and of course, the stunningly beautiful 512 BB. In my opinion Ferrari never got the Supercar Wedge nailed more perfectly than this. Thanks for this stunning video.

I have my bicycle in my living room too, it creates an atmosphere of exquisit relaxation, the shapes of the wheels represent the cosmos turning and moving forwards but always connected to the ground, the pedals are a marvelous feat of engineering that connect the physical energy of the body to the gears so you become the machine. I wanted to create an environment with only what I needed or better said could afford, I have my bike, a mattress I bought off craigslist and my messenger bag for work.

In 1981 I had the pleasure of driving a yellow bb512 from LA to Aspen. One of the most memorable trips of my life. Very heavy steering under 70mph, then as as easy to throw around as a Lotus elan. Soo cool and the sound of that engine just behind my head. Top of the wow factor.
