From my understanding on her method you have to have well drained soil.If your in clay your tree will die from root rot.Just some info I picked up about her method of don't have good drainage

How do you feel about adding a large PVC pipe that goes to the bottom of the bit to water and allow air into the soil?

Adding dry pine needles does not make the soil more acidic. Green pine needles have a ph in the 3-3.8 range, but that ph rises as they sit dead on the ground.

That is the most work and expense I have ever seen someone invest to plant one fruit tree! If work is food, looks like you’ll be rich in peaches for years to come.

What would you estimate is your cost per planting per fruit tree (based on basic 5 gal size you find in most big box nurseries)? Filling a cubic yard with amendments seems like it could get quite expensive.

I thought bone meal is / was a good source of calcium as well as phosphorus, is that not the fact ?
