as extraordinarily talented as they all are, why the shitty editing? the entire point of ballet is to watch the dance uninterrupted and be amazed by the fluidity and precision of the movements in time with the music.

Ну, хоть присутствует русское в движениях и костюмах. На Западе упорно "Русский танец" из "Щелкунчика" делают мужским. Лучшая хореография этого номера в постановке Большого театра. Классическая (2 девушки, 1 парень) - у Мариинского театра.

Another one of those videos where the editor is showing of his skills rather than producing something that is pleasing to watch. 10 Different cameras 5 high speed cameras, zoom, pan out, slow motion, how many tricks can you fit into a 1 minute clip. I have seen footage captured on mobile phone that is more enjoyable than this.

FYI and apropos in 2022: this is actually Ukrainian, not Russian, dance. His family was from Zaporizhzhia, and he spent summers in Ukraine in Kamianka at the home of his sister and in Nyzy. All dance companies should rename this song for this year as the Ukrainian Dance.
