The most treasured items in my closet come with a bit of history. My mother's hand me downs are particularly special. She must have had great taste, because her classic blazers, over the top hats, and chunky chokers never feel dated to me. True style is cultivated and curated in your heart first.

This spring I wore my mothers low rise, flared, jeans, hand embroidered with all these beautiful colorful flowers. She wore them before I was born. I styled it with a cream sand washed blouse, a green sweater with green buttons and plant details, and brown leather Birkenstocks. I topped the outfit off with a canvas tote with green frogs on it. I love those pants! Not only are they really chic, but they always feel so special, and make me feel close to my mom.

There is nothing like wearing the coat you grew up watching her wear! My mom had an iconic black duster that she wore with everything when I was a middleschooler. I realized it's back in style now so I asked for it and it's so nice to top off my fits feeling exactly like the woman who made me❤❤❤
