Advent children is even more impressive when you consider the fact its even older. There is some shockingly ahead of its time animation in the mid and early 2000s both in and out of gaming.

I am not afraid to admit that Sonic and The Secret Rings is my favorite Sonic game! The animation of the cutscenes has aged amazingly, the story and characters are awesome, and the art style for the storybook cutscenes are awesome too.

Say what you want, this game was pretty awesome for the time. Sure the controls were janky, but I adapted pretty quickly and I can still play it perfectly today. I miss this age of Sonic. He was a cocky, tough but wholesome guy back then... And I loved him for it.

Sonic transformation in Unleashed is still the best scene for me, seeing the wind blowing in his fur while his teeth and claws grow was an absolute chill when I was a kid

That final "I'm not a rat, I'm a hedgehog" line is still one of, if not THE coolest scene/line to come out of a Sonic game.

It's not that the animation is super crazy but the cinematography and care put into the scene, that's next level dedication and I played through several times and recited the ending scenes
