[TRIP REPORT] Saudia Boeing 787-9 From Jeddah JED To Singapore SIN In Economy Class

Saudi Arabian Airlines has been stunting with deeply discounted Economy and Business Class tickets for some time now. The airline from the Middle East has a rich and long history, but only in recent years does the airline make an prominent appearance on the longhaul market with flights between Europe, Africa and Asia.

With a new identity the airline is in the middle of a transition to be able to compete with Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad and other airliners from the Middle East. Competition is fierce so they have invested a lot in their fleet, onboard service and also the ground experience at Jeddah Airport with the opening of a brand new terminal.

This trip report will shed light on how travelling with Saudia is in 2023 and what you should expect when paying a low price for travelling in economy class. This airline has a lot of potential to become a very good one, but there is still some work to do in order to be in the same league as the airliners from the Gulf States.

"Foul" on Saudia flights is mashed fava beans. A traditional breakfast in the Middle East served with bread and mixed with olive oil and some herbs and spices.

Impressive lounge and food choice . Compared with the KLM lounge in Amsterdam Schiphol airport this is an example to follow . One of the reasons I stopped flying KLM is because their excessive expensive prices in the flights I am using and their very poor lounge in Amsterdam with the worse food I have ever had in any lounge world wide ( close last with delta lounge at jfk airport ).
