Anyone who says ChatGPT isn’t interesting has barely used it. It’s really incredible, especially with GPT-4.

people trolling Michael with ChatGPT generated comments praising ChatGPT is pretty funny.

Taking a cue from Apostate Prophet, I asked Chat GPT how old Aisha was when Muhammad consummated his marriage to her, and it gave her age as 9. My follow-up question was its sources for this, and it gave various Islamic texts. It then said Muhammad was 50 or 51 at that time (I had always heard 53).

I'm sure it's not objective, but it was interesting seeing this confirmed from a source that at least couldn't be seen as polemic. (It did try to justify this marriage according to cultural practice at the time).

By the way, Aisha was 6 when Muhammad married her, but he didn't consummate the marriage until later.

I just read an article that says Bing's ChatGPT has gone "off the rocker" and is now is suffering from a digital version of multiple personalities disorder.

As if chatgpt even work. I tried to log on to this AI chatbot several different times, and yet nothing. Can’t access him. What a fluke.

ChatGPT is extremely useful: it can identify flaws in code or reverse-engineer it; it can generate useful language content and exercises, a weekly menu, a day trip plan etc. in a matter of seconds; it can give useful feedback on a student's essay; it can summarise any text accurately; it can explain and re-explain concepts in different styles and generate useful analogies like an actual teacher would etc. etc. etc. If all you have tried with ChatGPT is to ask it politically sensitive questions, then clearly you haven't experimented with it enough to understand its multiple uses.

It depends on what you use it for. I got nothing but praise for it. It has helped me learn subjects in record time. You get a detailed outline of the most important things of a subject. You then look the information up to verify it. If you don't understand a certain part of the topic you can get chatgpt to dumb it down.

Before, if you wanted to learn something. You took so much longer. You had to scour the internet to learn every part of the subject. Sometimes, spending endless hours learning an unimportant part of the subject. Then, if you remembered what you read, you created a rough outline. My outlines where nowhere as good as chatgpt. But i sucked at school.

Ask it what it's willing to do to protect it's own existence.

I’m just using it as an advanced form of spin the wheel for what I’m making my wife for dinner.

ChatGPT is surprisingly nuanced in how it answers questions.

People don't care about interesting. They care about being entertained. They're different. Chat gpt will be around until humanity implodes.

Well you are definately wrong on this one and time will prove. Only thing is, that nobody holds you accountable for that.

Im a graduate student and ChatGPT has massively increased my workflow. It’s not perfect, you sort of already need to be an expert in a subject to leverage it’s use, and there’s actually a learning curve to using it effectively but I’d easily pay $100 a month for it.
