I speak for all Edmontonians.
1. Can you solve the downtime drug user apocalypse?
2. Can you make public transit safe?
3. Can people drive through 1 intersection without a scamhalder asking you for money?

It would be nice if these elected officials would explain how the nay-sayers are wrong, instead they call people "conspiracy theorists" or "far right" as a means to shut down the conversation and villainize the opposition

READ THEIR 15 min city Rules first!!
They implied that "all you need is 15 minutes away, as if they know what you need, "
if you read between the lines. This sentence can be changed to with. If it's not 15
minutes, you no longer need it because WE decided that you will only be able to
access a certain number of alternatives and nothing else. Don't forget that all
of your rights will be subject to limitations. The term "15 min." denotes a maximum
time limit of 15 minutes during which you must remain inside the doors. You would
only be permitted to drive your automobile 25 times a year and would require a
permission if you wanted to travel beyond the city.

At this point "conspiracy theories" are really just spoiler alerts

Gotta love that "misinformation" term. They can use it anytime people question a well known plan.

The Warsaw Ghetto was also a 15 minute city

They didn't mention that they restrict movement when leaving your community. With the aid of cameras

They said " You will own, nothing and you will be happy!" as if they know what makes
you happy.. just like how they promise you everything you need is 15 mins away, as if
they know what you need..

You know when they tell you it's a conspiracy that it's true. Guess I won't be visiting Edmonton in the future.

Here’s the thing. It may be conspiracy right now. But if the city has the ability than that ability could be exploited at a later date. Doesn’t matter if your don’t have the “intention” right now.

As someone who is visually impaired, i can have some dignity being able to get where i need without having to have a car.
I support this.

"It's not locking people down" ... The eyes divert into an upward, searching motion ... "It's actually about providing..."
Hmmm, need to train these people better.

Explain how finding a job within your needed profession is hard enough but you're going to make it so this is available within a 15-minute walk for everyone. Make it make sense. Also, if it isn't locking people down, why does Oxford have fines in place for anyone who goes beyond their allotted hours outside of their designated area?

'Under the new proposals, if any of Oxford’s 150, 000 residents drives outside of their designated district more than 100 days a year, he or she could be fined £70.' - Oxford, UK

In the UK you will have to pay for a permit to leave the boundary of theses cities. With a limit to 100 permits per person, per year.

I come from a communist country and they had the same system to control the people. Yes Nicaragua during the 1980s
